- Shorthand dictation and longhand transcription150 marks
Educational qualification
English Reporters: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a University in India (Central/Provincial/State Act, or institution recognized by UGC, or equivalent) - preference to higher general educational qualifications; passed Shorthand (English) at grade with speed not less than 150 wpm (preference to those who also passed Shorthand (Telugu) Higher Grade); passed Typewriting (English) Higher Grade by State Board of Technical Education, Hyderabad/Vijayawada (preference to Typewriting (Telugu) Higher Grade). Telugu Reporters: same Bachelor's Degree; passed Shorthand and Typewriting (Telugu) both by Higher Grade (State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad/Vijayawada) - preference to those who also passed Shorthand & Typewriting (English) Higher Grade; and a practical test for 80 wpm in Telugu Shorthand conducted by the Secretary of the State Legislature (appointment by transfer) / APPSC (direct recruitment). Must be held as on the date of Detailed Notification.
